Domestic or industrial ovens, chimneys, grills, and greenhouses require a sealant that can withstand heat and offer exceptional durability. When it comes to sealing surfaces that are constantly exposed to high temperatures, Unipega Oxima High Temperature Neutral Silicone is essential, as it resists temperatures up to 315°C.
Surface Preparation
The surface must be dry, clean, and free of dust and oils. Remove all material residues, especially those not well adhered to the layers (sand if necessary). Clean and degrease the surface with isopropyl alcohol and keep it dry before application. Do not use kerosene or gasoline for surface cleaning. For a better finish, it is recommended to use masking tape on the sides of the joint where contact with the product is not desired. For applications on substrates other than those mentioned, it is advisable to perform a test to evaluate adhesion and product compatibility.
Application and Curing Time
Apply the product to the desired area and finish immediately. If using masking tape, remove it before a skin forms. After use, leave a small amount of product above the nozzle to form a plug. When reusing, remove the plug. Once opened, the product should be used within one week. Clean tools before curing. After curing, the product can only be removed mechanically.
Storage
The product must be kept in its original packaging and stored in a cool place at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C, protected from direct sunlight and away from heat sources. To avoid contamination of unused product, do not return any leftover material to the original packaging.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Shelf life (from the date of manufacture): 13 months.
Usage Restrictions
Do not use on painted surfaces or aquariums. Do not apply on plastics based on polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, acrylic, and polytetrafluoroethylene. Not suitable for parts that will come into contact with food or be continuously immersed in liquids. Not to be used on glass façades or any structural bonding requiring high strength. Not paintable.
